I'm always looking for way to improve things on the farm (and in life). This year I decided to give planting with the biodynamic calendar a try...just casually...to see how much of a difference it makes.
Oh My Radishes! It's been a bit RADiculous.
Our seedings were so successful that we have yields 3 times what we've had in the past.
French Breakfast, Red Radishes, Spicy Icicle Radishes & Red, Purple & White Daikons are all here this spring.
This abundance has created a great opportunity for a little experimenting in the kitchen which has led to a thick and creamy Herb & Radish Spread that is incredibly simple to make and oh so versatile.
It’s the perfect thing to whip up for unexpected company or a lazy evening on the deck enjoying the mountain views.
I’ve piled it high on burgers, crackers, slices of bread (it would be great on bagels). Scooped it up with more radishes and slices of Sweet Salad Turnips, Celery & Peppers.
Let your imagination run wild. There are so many ways you can give this deliciously simple dip a place at your summer table.
